Stormy weather
It's a bit of a thrill walking in the woods after a bit of stormy weather. The river rises and trees blow down and it all looks just a little bit wilder. But on this occasion, it seems that St Jude has let us off with a caution. Apart from a couple of small trees down on the byway and lots of deadwood dropped from the canopy, all is fine in Troserch Woods. Dan and his team from KWT have done great work with a couple of the worst bits of the riverside walk and the stray cows have departed. It is all very muddy so a dry cold snap would be nice to bring out some autumn colour and dry the tracks for a bit, but I am happy to take what the weather brings. Rain or shine, Troserch is always a pleasure.
