About Us

Early in 2006 Troserch Woods was put up for sale by its then owners. On April 12th 2006 residents of Llangennech and the surrounding area set up meeting at the local primary school, to look into the feasibility of purchasing the wood and bringing it into community ownership.

Troserch Woodlands Society was set up, and with the hard work of many within the community and the generous support of a grant by CydCoed, this ancient woodland was finally purchased for the community in October 2006.

Troserch Woodlands Society exists to promote and uphold its original aims of protecting the pathways, encouraging the wildlife, and gradually introducing the native species of trees and plants that once thrived here.

Everybody is welcome to visit and enjoy what the Troserch Woods has to offer, but please respect the peace and quiet of the area, its environment and other woodland users.
